Embers of Hope

Available Services
The Embers Frontline Initiative is designed to offer specialized training and consultation to strengthen nonprofits, who are on the frontlines, serving survivors of trafficking. Services include trauma education, EMDR Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (GTEP), and organizational consultation, all aimed at equipping teams with practical, evidence-based tools. Our goal is to reduce secondary trauma and staff turnover while building resilient, trauma-informed organizations that can sustainably support both survivors and the professionals who serve them.
Trauma-Informed Workshop
This trauma-informed workshop equips professionals with practical tools to better understand and respond to trauma. Participants will learn how trauma impacts the nervous system, while gaining concrete distress tolerance and emotion regulation skills they can use personally and teach to those they serve. The training also emphasizes the power of co-regulation, helping providers create safer, more stabilizing interactions that foster resilience, connection, and lasting healing.
Consultation
We provide consultation to nonprofit organizations—especially safehouses serving survivors of trafficking—to help create trauma-informed, safe, and empowering environments. Through staff training, program development, holistic care strategies, and workplace mental health consultation, we equip teams to support survivor healing while also promoting employee well-being, reducing burnout, and fostering a culture of psychological safety and long-term sustainability.
EMDR (GTEP)
EMDR Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (GTEP) is a structured, evidence-informed approach designed to help teams process the emotional impact of the work they carry. For nonprofits serving survivors of trafficking and other high-trauma populations, GTEP offers a proactive way to reduce secondary trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout. By providing a safe, guided space for staff to process distressing material, organizations can strengthen resilience, improve retention, and sustain a healthier, more supported workforce.

Foursquare Learning Center
Our experience with Mallory came during a challenging season in our work place. There was conflict between staff/management and a loss of connection and understanding. Mallory met with the lead teachers and management onsite weekly to create a safe and supportive space where tensions could settle and people could be open with one another. She was able to understand and speak for all sides, resulting in us just needing better understanding and communication within each other. Through her guidance, she brought back peace and clarity. Mallory was the support we needed before losing staff, and because of her, our work environment has grown immensely. We are forever grateful for her care and dedication, and we know she is someone we can always lean on in the future!

Mallory is amazing. As a healthcare facility, we strive to create a comfortable environment for every person who steps into our clinic. During the workshop, we discussed the STOP and TIP skills, which focus on strategies to use during moments of dysregulation, as well as techniques that help reset the nervous system and prevent spiraling or reactive behavior. We also explored individual practices that resonate with each of us, allowing us to more effectively teach and support our patients. This workshop reinforced the importance of clear communication and an understanding that trauma presents differently for everyone. Whether individuals express suppressed trauma through physical symptoms, challenges with emotional regulation, or difficulty with boundaries, it further emphasizes how essential thoughtful and clear communication is in everything we do. This workshop served as a valuable reset for our staff after a year marked by patient grief, personal challenges, and the struggles many families have faced.
