Mallory Kurkosky
MA, LPCC, RPT-S
Founder & President
Mallory is a Licensed Clinical Counselor and Supervisor with extensive experience in the mental health field. As a Registered Play Therapist, Mallory specializes in using play therapy techniques to help children navigate emotional and behavioral challenges. In addition to their clinical work, they serve as the Co-Director of the Children's Mental Health Program at Life Development Resources, where they oversee the development and implementation of therapeutic services for young clients. With a passion for education, Mallory also holds a faculty position at Bethel University, where she teaches and mentors future mental health professionals. Her work integrates clinical practice, supervision, and academic instruction, providing a holistic approach to the growth and development of both children and emerging therapists. Mallory is dedicated to promoting mental well-being and providing compassionate care through both direct therapy and professional training. In addition, Mallory has founded an LLC, Refined by Fire, and a non-profit organization, Embers of Hope, with the mission of supporting individuals who have experienced exploitation through trafficking.
Stephan Kurkosky
Vice President
Stephan is a seasoned professional in the Financial Crimes Investigations department at one of the nation's largest financial institutions. He specializes in regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering investigations, and fraud detection, leveraging his expertise to support the institution's efforts in maintaining financial security and integrity. In his free time, Stephan enjoys cooking, exploring the outdoors, woodworking, and antiquing.
Kaylene Brink
Treasurer
With over 10 years of experience in the parks and recreation industry, Kaylene currently serves as a Guest Services Supervisor at Dakota County Parks. Specializing in customer service, continuous improvement, and financial reconciling, Kaylene has developed a strong track record of enhancing operational efficiency while ensuring a positive experience for park visitors. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, Kaylene combines a deep understanding of human behavior with a passion for enhancing community engagement and delivering impactful results. Outside of professional endeavors, Kaylene enjoys crafts and home renovation, reflecting a strong appreciation for creativity and hands-on problem solving.
Emilee Kerstetter
Secretary
With a heart for service and a passion for community, Emilee Kerstetter brings a rich background in education, corporate administration, and ministry work to her role as Board Secretary. She began her professional journey as an elementary school teacher, where she developed a deep commitment to nurturing and empowering young minds. Later, she expanded her expertise through administrative work at a Fortune 500 company, gaining valuable experience in organization, communication, and strategic support.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Emilee is dedicated to volunteering with local ministries, offering her time and talents to causes that uplift and strengthen the community.
During her current season as a SAHM, you’ll find her enjoying walks with her husband, crafting fun projects with her kids, or winding down with cozy family movie nights!
Breanna Reed

Member At Large
Breanna is an Art Therapist specializing in Anxiety, Spirituality, and Depression. She has experience working with people with physical and developmental disabilities, adolescents, and young adults. She is passionate about incorporating her client’s faith perspectives into the counseling sessions. She is a professor at Bethel University and Adler Graduate School. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate programs. She teaches Introduction to Art Therapy, Art Therapy Internship, and Advanced Child and Adolescent courses. She is passionate about training the next generation of counselors and building a Christian support system. She is the Owner and Art Therapist at Creative Connections Counseling LLC in Burnsville, MN. In her spare time, you can find her spending time with her husband (who is also a Therapist), two young children, and wiener dogs. They love exploring parks, doing art together, and being silly.
